What They Are Telling You…

We are at the close of the 2010 election season.  For the better part of the last six months, we have been bombarded with politicians telling you what they think you should know about them.  It is just like when you interview a prospective candidate for a new position.  Their job is to tell you what they think you should know about them.
But how do you find out what you need to know about them (I’m talking about the candidate, not the politician…).  My suggestion is the ProfileXT.

Like the iceberg, the information you usually obtain in an interview is only what the candidate wants you to see.  As you find, after you select and hire that individual, what you get is much more than what you saw in the interview.  Now, sometimes what we get is much more valuable than what we thought we were getting — and we have that wonderful experience of hiring someone who greatly exceeds the expectations that we have of them.

But sometimes the seven-eighths that floats below the surface unseen is what makes them a critical danger to our businesses — so much so that if we had seen that large volume of hidden attributes we might have avoided them altogether!

Interviews simply cannot see below the surface of the individual, cannot give you (the “occasional interviewer”) the information you need to have to make a good decision when you put someone into one of your positions.

The ProfileXT® (PXT) is the most technologically advanced, state-of-the-art system available today for measuring human potential and predicting job performance.  The ProfileXT has been completed by almost 600,000 people.  This large, statistical database of results is what everyone taking the PXT is compared.  The PXT assessment first compares an individual against the statistical database.  It can then measure how well an individual fits specific jobs, or specific talent pools, or specific leadership positions, all in your organization.  The “job matching” feature of the PXT is unique, and it enables you to evaluate an individual relative to the qualities required to successfully perform in a specific job or a specific pool of jobs, unique to your company.

This 45-minute, online assessment reveals consistent, in-depth, and objective insight into an individual’s thinking and reasoning style, relevant behavioral traits, occupational interests, and match to specific jobs in your organization.  It helps your managers and you interview and select people who have the highest probability of being successful in a role, and provides practical recommendations for coaching them to maximum performance.  It also gives your organization consistent language and metrics to support strategic workforce and succession planning, talent management, and reorganization efforts.

Best of all, the PXT is extremely cost effective, and the reports are written in plain language that do not require a specialist to interpret the results.
